The national sport of NZ is rugby and everyone roots for the All Blacks. Definitely worth checking out a game if you’re there between July and October.
Queenstown, the “adventure capital of the world,” is where bungee jumping was invented. Off the heels of that, every high adrenaline sport is offered in NZ. If you’ve got even a little adventure in you, this is the place to do it.
Rated just below Iceland, New Zealand is the world’s second safest country, with very little crime and no large natural predators. Keep that in mind when you see hitch hiking – which is legal and encouraged in places!
The accent is strong, but Kiwis are so nice they don’t mind repeating themselves.
